Code of Ethics

Informal (as opposed to – for example – a Non Disclosure Agreement) rules professional interpreters abide by. They include among others, protection of clients’ privacy, confidentiality, nondisclosure of information interpreted at assignments, esprit de corps, professional solidarity. To a professional interpreter the code of professional ethics is absolute, regardless of any other legal arrangements.
