Portable equipment

A set of equipment for simultaneous interpretation that consists of a small portable handheld transmitter and usually several dozen standard receivers in a hard case. Such equipment is also called “bidule” in Europe. It is not a replacement for a standard booth and must not be used instead of it especially at larger events. Portability is, however, very convenient for situations when participants have to move around, such as factory tours or bus tours. Beware of attempts to sell you portable equipment when a full booth would be a correct technical solution.
